Job summary

Starpay Corporation in Pasig, Metro Manila, is seeking an Accounting Payables Assistant to support the Finance team in processing accounts payable accurately and on time. You will handle vendor billings, prepare APVs, maintain records, and assist with reconciliations and internal controls in a fast-paced fintech setting.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in accounts payable or accounting; fresh graduates may be considered.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with MYOB or other accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and record vendor billings and invoices.
• Prepare APVs for vendor payables, employee cash advances, and other applicable transactions.
• Verify billing documents and supporting attachments for completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor payables and coordinate with relevant departments and vendors regarding concerns or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documents.
• Assist with reconciliations, reports, and audit requirements.
• Support compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned.
