Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to own and scale the company's technical accounting and financial reporting functions as the business grows rapidly.

The role focuses on leases, data center arrangements, equity, revenue, partnerships, and hardware costs, building controls and documentation to support a high-growth AI infrastructure business. You will partner with Accounting Operations, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Engineering, and Revenue Operations.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718; familiarity with ASC 808 and ASC 350-40.
• Experience documenting processes with flowcharts, narratives, and control matrices.
• Experience supporting external audits and preparing high-quality accounting documentation.
• Strong systems orientation; ERP experience (NetSuite).
• Cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Legal, Tax, Engineering, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
• Lead technical accounting research, conclusions, and memos for complex areas.
• Own lease accounting under ASC 842 end to end, including setups and disclosures.
• Evaluate infrastructure and compute-related costs for cost of revenue and operating expenses.
• Oversee revenue recognition under ASC 606 with Deal Desk and Legal on non-standard contracts.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies for revenue, leases, equity, capitalization, and partnerships.
• Assist with tax, compliance, due diligence, and other accounting projects.
