MicroSourcing is seeking a Financial Reporting and AP Lead to oversee AP/GL activities, support month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting. This hybrid role includes night shift responsibilities at a Manila-area location.

The role provides leadership to the AP/GL team, drives internal controls, and leads process-improvement initiatives while coordinating with Finance, Tax, and cross-functional departments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of supervisory and related AP/GL tasks experience.
• Strong compliance with internal controls and support for month-end close processes.
• Proven ability to enhance reporting accuracy and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• AP Operations: maintain AP sub-ledger, review invoice coding, and 3-way matching with POs; resolve discrepancies.
• Handle vendor/employee inquiries and deliver high-quality timely responses.
• Prepare AP-related dashboards, KPIs, aging, and cash-out forecasts.
• Ensure timely supplier payments aligned with policies and cash management strategies.
• Maintain AP documentation standards and retention requirements.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses for GL accounts.
• Monitor GL activity for policy adherence and internal controls.
• Conduct monthly OPEX reviews against budget and forecasts.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to internal/external audits.
• Generate management reports and ad hoc analyses for Finance and cross-functional teams.

Job Overview

The Financial Reporting and AP Lead ensures accurate and timely financial reporting by managing general ledger activities and overseeing efficient accounts payable processing. The role supports month‑end close, maintains compliance with internal controls, and drives continuous process improvement while providing leadership to the AP/GL team through supervision, training, and performance management.

Job Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP) Operations: maintain and reconcile the AP sub‑ledger to the general ledger, oversee and review invoice coding and 3‑way matching with purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
• Facilitate resolution of vendor and employee inquiries, ensuring high‑quality service and timely issue resolution.
• Prepare AP‑related reports including dashboards, KPIs, AP aging, cash outflow forecasts, and payment schedules.
• Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments aligned with company policies and cash management strategies.
• Maintain compliance with AP documentation standards, policy adherence, and retention requirements.
• General Ledger (GL) Accounting: prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses for areas such as fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, and other assigned accounts.
• Monitor GL activity to ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and standards.
• Perform monthly operating expense reviews, analyzing variances against budget, forecast, and historical trends.
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit requests.
• Generate management reports and provide ad hoc analyses for Finance, Tax, and cross‑functional departments.
