Job summary

RetailWise in the Philippines seeks a Financial Controller to oversee regional finance, accounting, and administrative operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax and labor laws.

You will lead accounting, payroll, and IT/POS support, drive process improvements, coordinate with auditors, and strengthen internal controls across multi-store operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or controllership, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, taxation, financial compliance, and labor laws.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets for the region.
• Ensure accurate store accounting and strong internal financial controls.
• Manage accounting, payroll, and administrative teams to ensure operational efficiency.
• Oversee banking procedures, payments, and payroll processing.
• Validate inventory results and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee regional IT and POS systems supporting store operations.
• Promote cost efficiency, financial discipline, and continuous improvement in financial and administrative processes.
