Job summary

Journey Tech in the Philippines seeks a Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. You will partner with senior management to drive performance and ensure adherence to accounting standards.

You will supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, manage cash flow, coordinate external audits, and mentor the finance team. The ideal candidate holds a finance/accounting degree (CPA/CMA/MBA a plus) with 3–7 years of experience in finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CMA/MBA a plus.
• 3–7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and budgeting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Excel.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasts.

Accounting & Compliance

• Supervise the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure timely submission of tax filings.

Cash Flow Management

• Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity to ensure the organization’s financial health.
• Prepare cash flow projections and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.

Financial Analysis

• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Conduct performance analysis on key financial metrics such as profitability, cost control, and return on investment.
• Assist senior management with business strategy and operational decisions.

Team Management

• Lead and manage the finance and accounting team.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus).
