Job summary

ANZ in Manila seeks a Finance Controller professional to safeguard financial information and deliver accounting, reporting, and control services for onshore teams. The role emphasizes governance, regulatory compliance, and robust controls while aligning with the bank's Future of Finance agenda.

Ideal candidates will have accounting/finance education, CA/CPA status, and experience in financial services. The position offers permanent, full-time employment with opportunities for process automation

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accounting, Finance and Commerce or equivalent degree.
• Preferably Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA with proven experience in Finance services roles.
• Solid working knowledge of financial control within a financial services environment.
• Experience in presenting finance matters, including issues and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with automation, data analytics, or digital tools such as Python, KNIME, VBA, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar technologies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements.
• Supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Group's accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
• Maintaining the integrity of financial information through accurate, reliable, and timely reporting.
• Supporting ANZ's Future of Finance agenda through simplification, standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Embedding a strong governance and control culture across all activities.
• Delivering timely month-end outputs including registers, schedules, reconciliations, and trial balances, ensuring readiness for financial reporting and audits.
• Supporting centralized data sourcing, accounting, and reporting services for in-country finance teams.
