Job summary

Pepper Money seeks a Financial Accountant to support month-end close, reporting and controls within our hybrid Finance team. Based in Manila, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to deliver accurate results and maintain compliant records.

The role offers exposure to statutory reporting, audits and system improvements, with a proactive focus on process efficiency, automation and collaboration with stakeholders across the business. Experience in Financial Services is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial accounting, accounting operations, or a similar finance role.
• Strong month-end processes, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting the preparation of management accounts, statutory reporting and audit activities.
• Attention to detail and compliance with internal controls.
• Experience in Financial Services is advantageous.
• Proactive approach to improving processes and stakeholder relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related discipline.

Shift pattern: Mid-shift – 4pm MNL to 1am MNL

Working Model: Hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

What you will be doing

The Financial Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager and Financial Controller to support the delivery of accurate financial results and management accounts across the business. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

What we are looking for

• Experience in financial accounting, accounting operations, or a similar finance role.
• Good understanding of month-end processes, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting the preparation of management accounts, statutory reporting and audit activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within established financial controls and processes.
• Experience of working within Financial Services would be advantageous.
• Comfortable using finance systems and technology, with strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn new tools.
• Interest in technologies such as Power BI, Power Automate and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and how they can support efficiency and improve ways of working. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Proactive approach to identifying opportunities to improve processes and streamline routine activities.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Takes ownership of their work and consistently delivers to a high standard.
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.

Qualified Accountant status would be advantageous but not essential.
