Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the Philippines is seeking an Application Support Engineer within Securities Services to support pricing, risk, and trade management tools across asset classes, partnering with clients to shape the product roadmap.

The role involves APAC business-facing tech support, production incidents, and developing automation to improve platform reliability, using SRE best practices. Strong debugging, monitoring, and communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience supporting technology in the financial services or banking sector.
• Experience supporting trade lifecycle processes through settlement, including position management, valuation, and asset servicing.
• Experience building and using monitoring dashboards and producing service key performance indicators and stability reporting.
• Experience with observability tools (Splunk, Elastic stack, ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace).

Responsibilities

• Providing business facing technology support to business and operations groups across the Asia Pacific region.
• Working within a follow-the-sun support model with global counterparts
• Managing production technology incidents to resolution, ensuring timely engagement, escalation and effective communication to business, technology and vendor partners
• Performing post incident analysis, identifying, tracking and implementing preventative measures
• Act as SME for key applications, responsible for maintaining global best practice and hygiene standards
• Act as a key contributor in the continued development of tools, frameworks & techniques to improve productivity and quality of production support, adopting SRE principles to manage and support the environment
• Develop and support automation tooling to improve the reliability of the platform and to increase the productivity of the team
