Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks such as filing financial documents and data entry.
• Assist FSM with day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations including budget review.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and inventory counts.
• Prepare reports for government requirements and tax reports.
• Conduct pre-audit on disbursement vouchers and travel expenses.
• Manage petty cash.
• Process requisitions and other business forms.
• Keep records and document financial processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to reconcile accounting discrepancies.

Job description

Purpose of the Position

The Finance Officer reports to the Finance and Systems Manager (FSM). He/She is responsible for various financial and accounting tasks and managing accounting records of the company. He/She must understand the complexity of finance and accounting and is comfortable working with details.

Key Result Area

Financial reporting

• Performs administrative tasks such as filing of financial documents and data entry in the system
• Assists the FSM with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Finance Department, including budget review and analysis
• Assists the FSM with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Performs bank reconciliation and inventory counts
• Analyze and prepare reports for government requirements - VAT reports - Documentary Stamp Tax - Other applicable tax reports - SEC and other compliance reports

Control

• Conducts pre-audit on disbursement vouchers, travel expenses report and all supporting documents for all payments related to the activities of FLIDI

Other tasks

• Manage petty cash
• Process requisition and other business forms
• Keeping records and documenting financial process
• Collaborating with internal departments to reconcile any accounting discrepancies
