About the Role
The Finance Officer role will be responsible for recording financial statements, processing payments, general bookkeeping, reconciling book balances, monitoring payment aging, creating and maintaining accurate financial records, and processing invoices. The employee will handle the end-to-end accounting process of the business and be responsible for regulatory preparation and filings.
Job Description
- Manages financial bookkeeping of a business or organization.
- Processes invoices, records payments, and tracks the organization’s expenses.
- Prepares statement of accounts, payments of services and sends to client.
- Communicates regularly with clients for follow‑up of collections.
- Cross‑checks invoices to ensure collection and billing is balanced and accurate.
- Generates monthly financial reports of collections, past due, aging, and expenses for review by immediate superior.
- Performs internal audits and reconciliation of books.
- Conducts both supplier and client accreditation procedures.
- Assists in risk assessment procedures.
- Ensures financial records are accurate and statements of accounts comply with legal regulations.
- Prepares and processes BIR reports and other regulatory‑related reports.
- Represents the company to regulatory authorities (SEC, BIR, LGU, SSS, PHIC, HDMF, and other government agencies).
- Sends invoices personally or electronically to clients.
- Processes payroll.
- Performs inter‑company reconciliation.
Skills And Qualifications
- Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance or Accountancy; CPA designation not required.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the related field is required.
- Experience with either QuickBooks or Xero accounting system (Preferred but not required).
- Proficient in regulatory and Philippine tax reporting (required).
- Has completed at least one end‑to‑end business cycle.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google applications.
