Job summary

eTap Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Finance Operations Accountant to maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and tax returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Six months of work experience in accounting and finance is preferred.
• Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within a regional or multi-site organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable ledgers.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Provide financial data and reports to the Senior Accountant or Regional Finance Section Supervisor as required.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

What Finance Operations Accountant Look Forward To Do Well

The Finance Operations Accountant is responsible for maintaining and updating the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and tax returns. This role ensures accurate processing of transactions, supports audits, and implements improvements to accounting processes while adhering to company policies and regulations.

What You Will Do

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable ledgers.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Provide financial data and reports to the Senior Accountant or Regional Finance Section Supervisor as required.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Manage the billing process, including preparation and issuance of invoices and tracking of payments.
• Assist in the preparation of regional budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and suggest corrective actions.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in preparing tax reports and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
• Maintain organized and secure financial records, including invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.
• Ensure records are easily accessible for audits and internal reviews.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems.
• Stay informed of changes in accounting standards and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with eTap’s safety, security, and information security protocols.
• Perform other job-related functions or duties as assigned.
