Global company | Philippine office | Alabang
Full-time, fully onsite | Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
Looking for broader finance ownership and exposure to an international business?
Our client is an established European company with a global presence and a Philippine office supplying commercial equipment, specialised chemicals, and technical services.
We’re looking for a hands-on Manager to take ownership of the local office’s day-to-day finance and accounting activities. Working closely with the Managing Director and a lean local team, you’ll keep financial records accurate, manage compliance, and help the business make informed decisions.
This opportunity suits someone who enjoys understanding the whole business, handling the details, and seeing how their work contributes to its performance.
What you’ll handle
- Accounting and reporting: Handle the full accounting cycle, including payables, receivables, general ledger, bank reconciliations, inventory, fixed assets, and month-end closing.
- Tax and compliance: Manage Philippine tax and statutory requirements, maintain complete documentation, and coordinate with external auditors and advisers.
- Cash flow: Monitor collections, payments, and cash requirements to help the business plan ahead.
- Budgets and business support: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and management reports. Explain movements in costs and margins, and highlight matters requiring attention.
- Controls and processes: Maintain reliable financial records, strengthen approval processes, and introduce practical improvements.
- Business coordination: Work with sales, operations, and service colleagues to resolve finance matters and support payroll coordination.
What we’re looking for
- A degree in Accountancy and a Philippine CPA qualification—mandatory.
- At least five years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including hands‑on responsibility for a full set of accounts.
- Solid knowledge of Philippine taxation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with an accounting or enterprise resource planning system. SAP Business One experience is an advantage.
- Someone organised, dependable, and comfortable working independently, meeting deadlines, and explaining financial information clearly.
- Availability to work fully onsite in Alabang every workday.
Experience in a small or mid-sized company, local subsidiary, distribution, trading, or a business combining products and services would be particularly relevant.
Why consider this opportunity?
- International business exposure: Build your experience within the Philippine operations of an established global company.
- Meaningful ownership: Apply your expertise across the full finance function and understand how the business operates.
- Close collaboration with leadership: Work directly with the Managing Director on cash flow, costs, and business performance.
- Room to make a difference: Improve everyday processes and help build a well‑run local operation.
