Job summary

ANDRITZ Philippines Hydro Project, Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial management, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

You will supervise controls, cash flow, audits, and statutory compliance while delivering insights to support profitability and strategic decisions. The role requires strong ERP expertise, 5–8 years in finance with 3+ years in leadership, and experience in project-based industries such as EPC or hydropower.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years in Finance, Accounting, and Controlling with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience in project-based industries such as EPC, Construction, Renewable Energy is preferred.
• Proven ability to oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, taxation, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial management, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, treasury, taxation, and financial reporting activities. This role ensures compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations while providing financial insights to support business decisions and profitability. The Finance Manager works closely with management, business unit leaders, auditors, tax authorities, and the Board of Directors to maintain financial integrity and drive sustainable business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly review and check adequate and orderly accounting, control costs, and supervise all company’s financial tools and systems.
• Manages the implementation of software upgrades for accounting and cost control.
• Manages implementation of Percentage of Completion Method (cost to cost method) in the accounting and in line with the Company’s Group Policy in connection with long-term Construction Contracts.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to the management and board of directors in line with the company’s standards.
• Consolidation of the Philippine Companies for the Financial Reporting.
• Prepare the financial data with a deviation analysis for the Board of Directors meetings.
• Preparing the Annual Financial Budget and Quarterly Forecasts together with the Company’s Management, including defining and implementing measurements to improve the Company’s profitability.
• Works closely with business unit managers to meet targets and budgets.
• Manages cash flow and treasury functions, including monthly Cash Flow Reporting.
• Supervises Annual External Audits and Annual Income Tax Declarations as well as regulatory audits and resolutions.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial entities.
• Handle tax cases with respective authorities.
• Participating in BOD & BOC meetings

Technical Skills (knowledge)

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and management reporting.
• Ability to monitor project and operational costs, analyze variances, and implement cost optimization measures.
• Expertise in applying the Cost-to-Cost Method for long-term construction contracts in accordance with IFRS and Group policies.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and profitability improvement initiatives.
• Ability to consolidate financial statements across multiple entities and ensure accurate group reporting.
• Knowledge of financial monitoring and reporting for engineering, construction, or project-based businesses.
• Experience in cash forecasting, liquidity planning, working capital management, and banking relationships.
• Strong understanding of corporate taxes, VAT, withholding taxes, tax audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to coordinate audit activities, ensure compliance, and address audit findings effectively.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), accounting software, and system upgrades.
• Ability to prepare management reports, key financial indicators, and presentations for Board meetings.
• Capability to analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
• Knowledge of local statutory requirements, corporate governance, and financial regulations.
• Ability to establish, monitor, and improve financial controls and risk mitigation measures.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, dashboards, reporting, and data analysis tools.

Education

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Accounting & Finance, or equivalent.

Desirable: Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or related field is an advantage.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Training in IFRS, Project Accounting, Taxation, Treasury Management, or Financial Controlling is preferred.
• Additional certifications such as CMA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and Controlling, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in project-based industries such as EPC, Construction, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or Hydropower is preferred.
• Experience in Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance.
