Job summary

Goldilocks Bakeshop, Inc. seeks a senior financial leader to oversee accounting, FP&A, and controls for a multi-store FMCG/retail network in the Philippines.

You will drive monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, ensure accurate revenue recognition, and partner with commercial teams. Lead ERP upgrades, deliver store and regional profitability analyses, and manage audits and compliance with IFRS and tax regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA license required or active candidate.
• MBA, CMA or CFA preferred.
• 12–15 years of progressive financial leadership in FMCG/retail.
• Strong FP&A, financial controlling and business partnering background.
• Experience leading multi-site teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual statutory and management reports and governance.
• Guarantee revenue recognition accuracy and expense allocation.
• Manage monthly and annual financial close and external audits.
• Deliver store, regional and product-level profitability analyses.
• Lead ERP implementation and system upgrade projects.
• Prepare monthly management reports and variance analyses; act as finance business partner to Commercial, Store Ops and Marketing.
• Develop financial models for new store openings, renovations and expansion projects; perform ROI analyses.
• Support category management and menu/product profitability analysis; track key retail metrics.
• Establish controls to minimize losses and improve efficiency; drive margin improvements across stores.
• Monitor asset and stock movements; enforce nationwide inventory controls; analyze distribution costs.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure IFRS compliance and tax regulations; manage external audits.
• Mentor finance team; build succession; set performance goals and development plans.
• Champion a high-performance culture with accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
• Drive automation and reporting-process improvements across financial systems.

• Responsible for the accuracy and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial reports and management reports of commercial businesses.
• Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition and expense allocation.
• Manages monthly, and annual financial close processes and external audit
• Deliver store, regional and product level profitability analysis.
• Lead the ERP implementation and system upgrade projects.

Financial Planning and Commercial Business Partnering

• Prepare monthly management reports and variance analyses.
• Serve as finance business partner to Commercial, Store Operations and Marketing.
• Develop financial models for new store openings, renovations, and expansion projects.
• Conduct ROI analysis on marketing initiatives and product launches.
• Support category management and menu/product profitability analysis.
• Track and analyze key retail metrics.

Cost Control, Margin and Asset Management

• Establish controls to minimize losses and improve efficiency.
• Drive margin improvement initiatives across stores.
• Identify underperforming stores and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor asset and stock movements and ensure inventory controls are consistently implemented nationwide.
• Analyze distribution and logistics costs.

Governance, Control and Compliance

• Maintain strong internal controls across commercial and retail operations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Act as single point of contact for internal and external audits for commercial businesses and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
• Manage tax audits and assessments.
• Develop and mentor finance team and build succession plan and organizational capability.
• Establish performance goals and development plans.

• Drive automation and continuous improvement in reporting processes and financial systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Certified Public Accountant
• MBA, CMA or CFA certification preferred

Experience:

• 12 to 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the FMCG or retail food chain/convenience store industries.
• Deep understanding of commercial finance in an FMCG and Retail food chain/convenience store businesses.
• Strong background in FP&A, financial controlling, and business partnering.
• Strong track record in leading multi-site teams and managing cross functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
