Job summary

The Vanguard Academy in Makati invites a seasoned Finance Leader to oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning for the school. You will guide resource allocation to support academic and extracurricular programs and ensure transparent, compliant financial practices.

Ideal candidates have a CPA/CFA or equivalent, 5+ years in finance with 3+ in leadership, and strong analytical skills to drive sustainable growth and financial literacy across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Certifications: CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with minimum 3 years in a senior leadership role (education sector preferred).
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make strategic decisions based on financial data to ensure the school’s financial health.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure transparency, efficiency, and informed decision-making.
• Analyze financial performance data to assess department effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure financial strategies align with the school’s mission and collaborate with leadership to support programs.
• Assess and optimize financial processes (AP/AR/reporting) for efficiency and compliance.
• Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them for stability.
• Assess and improve training programs for finance staff to ensure ongoing development.
