Job summary

Black & White Engineering, a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, is expanding its Manila Finance team. The role focuses on general finance support for UK and Europe, including accounts, invoicing, payroll, and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 1–4 years of experience, and demonstrates strong Excel skills and ERP familiarity. Collaboration with external stakeholders is required.

• Familiarity with ERP systems (D365 a plus).
• Basic understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide general finance and administrative support to the Finance team.
• Assist in managing account entries, documents, payments, and other finance-related tasks.
• Upload vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Prepare and upload external and intercompany invoices.
• Assist in monitoring receivables and following up on outstanding debts.
• Assist in payroll preparation and ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll-related data.
• Coordinate with local authorities and statutory auditors to support compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold an appropriate degree in Accounting / Finance or an equivalent professional qualification and should have relevant experience in Financial Accounting. Moreover, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the running of finance systems and associated projects, takes responsibility for critical business finance function, monitoring of financial projects and reporting facilities.

Duties & Responsibility

Finance Support – UK and Europe

• Provide general finance and administrative support to the Finance team.
• Assist in managing account entries, documents, payments, and other finance-related tasks.
• Upload vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with month-end closing activities (e.g., prepayments, accruals, and depreciation entries)
• Prepare and upload external and intercompany invoices.
• Assist in monitoring receivables and following up on outstanding debts.
• Assist in payroll preparation and ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll-related data.
• Coordinate with local authorities and statutory auditors to support compliance and timely filing of statutory requirements.
• Provide support in liaising with insurance brokers for locally placed policies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related field
• 1–4 years of experience in accounting or finance (fresh graduates with strong internships may be considered).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with D365 is a plus).
• Basic understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Eagerness to learn, with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to liaise with external stakeholders and authorities when needed.
