Job summary

John Clements Consultants, Inc. seeks a Finance Controller to lead the daily operations of the Finance team, driving financial strategy and ensuring regulatory compliance for a digitally-enabled healthcare company in Makati City.

You will supervise accounts payable/receivable, analyze monthly statements, ensure tax filings, implement SOPs for stronger controls, and coordinate audits to remain audit-ready and aligned with senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• 2-3 years in a finance role with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong skills in tax compliance, financial reporting, and leading a team.
• Onsite work in Makati City is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Finance team activities ensuring accurate AP/AR execution.
• Analyze monthly financial statements to provide insights into unit performance.
• Oversee tax filings and ensure compliance with BIR rulings.
• Lead the implementation of SOPs to improve financial controls and efficiency.

About the role:

• The Finance Controller leads the daily operations of the Finance team, driving financial strategy and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role is crucial for providing financial guidance and in-depth analysis to senior management, enabling cost-efficient decision-making and supporting the company's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise daily Finance team activities to ensure accurate execution of accounts payable and receivable.
• Analyze monthly financial statements of business units to provide insights into departmental performance.
• Compliance with BIR rulings by overseeing the preparation and timely filing of all tax requirements.
• Lead the implementation of standard operating procedures to improve financial controls and team efficiency.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements to ensure all records are compliant and audit-ready.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• 2-3 years of experience in a finance-related role, with proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong proficiency in tax compliance, financial reporting, and team management.
• Must be able to work onsite in Makati City.
