Job summary

ANZ is seeking a Financial Control Specialist in Makati to ensure accurate financial reporting, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen internal controls. The role involves overseeing daily operations, coordinating with auditors, and driving continuous improvement across centralized Finance Control processes in Manila.

Ideal candidates will have a finance/accounting background with CA/CPA preferred, strong communication, and extensive experience in financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or related discipline; CA/CPA preferred.
• Exposure to Annual Financial Statement preparation and submission; audit background is a plus.
• Strong interest in process re‑engineering and continuous improvement.
• Extensive experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of financial controls, including design, operation, and oversight.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Daily Oversight: review daily operations for accuracy, timeliness and control compliance.
• Annual Financial Statement preparation: assist in prep and review, coordinate with auditors.
• Own centralized Finance Control processes across Manila.
• Onshore interface: engage with stakeholders for regulatory and reporting alignment.
• Learn and apply Finance Control process flows and system functionalities.
• Apply accounting standards and policies to day‑to‑day oversight.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and control.
• Identify risks and remediation actions to strengthen the control environment.
• Support cross‑team knowledge sharing and capability uplift.
