Job summary

Cobden & Carter International is seeking a Finance Automation Specialist to join the SFIAA team in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite, Manila). The role drives automation of finance processes, strengthens internal controls, and provides technical accounting guidance across the organization.

You will lead policy development, implement system enhancements, and collaborate with Actuarial, Risk, Operations, and IT to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• CPA and a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy are required.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement experience.
• Experience or exposure to IFRS 17/IFRS 9 within the insurance sector is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of corporate finance operations and business workflows.

Responsibilities

• Identify process inefficiencies in finance workflows and design automated solutions and templates.
• Develop and maintain finance policies, guidelines, and internal control structures.
• Provide technical accounting advisory and document accounting positions and policies.
• Lead impact assessments and implementation plans for new accounting standards and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Risk, Operations, and IT teams to align processes with business objectives.
• Review financial statements and disclosures for compliance with standards and reporting guidelines.
• Perform vendor viability assessments and contract reviews within SLAs.
• Serve as a finance subject matter expert and project lead for system implementations and audits.
