Job summary

Cobden and Carter International Inc. seeks an IFRS and Statutory Reporting Specialist in Taguig on a hybrid basis.

The role focuses on preparing monthly accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting packages, while ensuring IFRS compliance and supporting audits with local and global finance teams. Responsibilities include coordinating statutory audits, reviewing outputs from team specialists, and improving processes with SAP updates and UAT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA a plus).
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
• Experience with financial reporting and general accounting processes.
• Familiar with payables, receivables, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Experience with GL and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Knowledge of IFRS, tax, or SOX compliance is a plus.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Experience with SAP, BlackLine, or MS Office tools is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented and analytical, eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly accounting entries including accruals, reclassifications, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations aligned with IFRS.
• Support preparation of quarterly and annual group reporting.
• Coordinate with markets for statutory audits and financial statement/disclosure preparation.
• Review outputs prepared by team specialists and provide quality feedback.
• Review and improve process documentation prepared by the team.
• Ensure compliance with JSOX and internal operational controls; escalate issues.
• Meet operational KPIs and performance targets.
• Support SAP-related updates and testing; assess impact.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system changes.
• Liaise with market/factory accountants and controllers for accurate reporting.
• Handle ad hoc tasks and cross-functional GBS activities as assigned.
• Contribute to local and global finance projects as needed.
