Private Advertiser in the Philippines seeks an accounting assistant to support daily financial operations for a school setting. You will handle bookkeeping, payroll preparation, and statutory remittances, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
The role requires 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience, proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, and collaboration with HR for payroll references.
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.
Preferably with 1–2 years experience in accounting or finance (school setting is an advantage).
Knowledgeable in bookkeeping, payroll, and government remittances.
Proficient in MS Excel / accounting software.
Detail-oriented, organized, and trustworthy with handling financial data.
Record daily financial transactions (collections, disbursements, petty cash, etc.).
Maintain and update books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and documentation.
Prepare and issue student tuition fee billings and statements of account.
Monitor payments and update student ledgers.
Follow up on outstanding accounts and assist in collection activities.
Process check and cash disbursements for suppliers, utilities, and other payables.
Ensure proper approval and supporting documents before releasing payments.
Maintain petty cash fund and ensure timely replenishment.
Assist in the preparation of payroll for teaching and non-teaching personnel.
Process deductions such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding tax.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
