Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the dealership's overall finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and sound internal controls. This role leads the Finance and Accounting team, monitors financial performance, manages accounting records, and provides timely financial information and recommendations to Top Management to support business decisions and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance and Accounting Management
- Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of the dealership.
- Ensure accurate recording, classification, and reporting of financial transactions.
- Review accounting records and financial statements to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Cash Flow and Financial Reporting
- Prepare, monitor, and manage cash flow projections to ensure adequate funds for daily operations and financial obligations.
- Review and analyze financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
- Monitor financial performance and provide management with relevant financial analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activites.
- Taxation and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable local tax laws, regulations, and government reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of tax returns and required government reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors, government agencies, and other regulatory bodies when necessary.
- Monitor changes in tax and accounting requirements that may affect dealership operations.
- Team Leadership and Personnel Management
- Supervise, guide, and develop Finance and Accounting personnel to ensure efficient performance of the responsibilites.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor work quality, deadlines, and productivity.
- Provide coaching and support to staff on accounting procedures, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
- Foster accountability, professionalism, and teamwork within the department.
- Records and Document Management
- Oversee the proper maintenance, organization, and safekeeping of financial and accounting records.
- Ensure that supporting documents for transactions are complete, accurate, and readily available for audit and review.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information and company records.
- Systems and Process Improvement
- Utilize accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel tools for financial analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
- Review existing financial processes and recommend improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure effective use of accounting systems and reporting tools within the departments.
- Coordination and Management Support
- Communicate financial information and recommendations clearly to Top Management.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding budget, payment, collection, and financial documentation requirements.
- Provide financial guidance and support for operational planning and business initiatives.
- Perform other finance-and-accounting related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 to 5 years of proven supervisory or managerial experience in Finance and Accounting
- Deep understanding of local tax laws and government reporting requirements
- Ability to prepare and manage cash flows and ensure financial statements are accurate
- Skilled in overseeing personnel and managing and handling financial records
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills to guide staff and report to Top Management
