Job summary

Mitsubishi Bacoor Motor Corporation in Bacoor, Cavite, is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to lead the accounting function of the dealership. This hands-on leadership role covers financial reporting, tax compliance, cash management, vehicle inventory, payroll verification, month-end closing, and supervision of the accounting team.

You will own the accounting operations, ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance, and drive timely reporting.

Qualifications

• CPA certification is required and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of BIR tax compliance and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting and financial activities of the dealership.
• Review cash tally sheets, receipts, bank deposits and cash positions.

• Monitor vehicle inventory, costing, and related financial records.

Lead the Accounting Function of a Growing Automotive Dealership

Mitsubishi Bacoor Motor Corporation is looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to lead our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of the dealership's financial activities.

This is a hands-on accounting leadership role covering financial reporting, tax compliance, cash management, vehicle inventory, floor stock financing, vehicle costing, payroll verification, month-end closing, and supervision of the accounting team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Financial & Accounting Operations

• Oversee daily accounting and financial activities of the dealership

• Review daily cash tally sheets, official receipts, bank deposits, and cash positions

• Prepare and review daily financial reports covering cash balances, floor stock lines, and vehicle inventory

• Review payable and check vouchers

• Monitor petty cash and LTO funds

• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions

Vehicle & Dealership Finance

• Monitor vehicle inventory and related financial records

• Monitor the availability and utilization of vehicle floor stock financing lines with banks

• Prepare payments for vehicle units, including applicable interest

• Prepare and maintain the Vehicle Invoice Register

• Review documents required for vehicle release

• Compute and review gross profit per vehicle, including promotional programs

• Review vehicle unit costing and related financial information

• Oversee costing of spare parts and materials

• Manage PPE accounts, depreciation, and accumulated depreciation

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of required BIR tax returns and reports

• Handle applicable monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, including:

  • 1601C

  • 1601E

  • 2550M

  • 2550Q

  • 1702Q

  • 1604CF

  • 1604E

  • Inventory List

  • Other required BIR reports

• Prepare the Semestral List of Regular Suppliers

• Oversee distribution of BIR Form 2316 / Certificate of Compensation

• Prepare required sales and service commission summaries for Alphalist reporting

• Coordinate with auditors, BIR, banks, and other relevant parties as necessary

Financial Reporting & Closing

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing

• Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly financial reports

• Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency

• Identify discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrective actions

• Maintain effective accounting controls and procedures

Team Leadership

• Supervise and manage accounting staff

• Assign responsibilities and monitor completion of accounting activities

• Review the work of accounting personnel and ensure adherence to established procedures

• Train, coach, and develop accounting staff

• Promote accuracy, accountability, and efficiency within the department

Employee-Related Accounting

• Review and confirm payroll computations

• Compute final pay of resigned employees

• Ensure accuracy of employee-related accounting records and reports

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is required

• Strong knowledge of BIR tax compliance and financial reporting

• Experience in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Willing to work on-site in Bacoor, Cavite

HIGHLY PREFERRED

• Experience in automotive dealership accounting

• Experience handling vehicle inventory and costing

• Experience with floor stock financing / vehicle financing

• Experience in sales and service accounting

• Experience dealing with BIR, banks, and external auditors
