Job summary

LausGroup is seeking a Finance Officer to manage the Finance Department's activities and personnel, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with government requirements.

The role includes maintaining accounting books, processing accounts payable, updating financial statements, preparing VAT reports and remittances, and coordinating SSS/HDMF/PhilHealth contributions. A bachelor’s degree in accountancy is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy.
• Knowledgeable in financial analysis, accounting principles, systems, and procedures.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Good time management skills and detail-orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and ensures completeness and accuracy of accounting systems and records on a regular basis.
• In charge of Accounts Payable Trade, recording, and checking the completeness of documents and check preparation.
• Assists in updating the books of account, monthly, quarterly, and yearly F/S with supporting schedules such as Receivables, Payables, Accruals, and other pertinent accounting records.
• Prepares monthly VAT reports, Withholding Tax remittances, and supporting schedules.
• Processes and prepares entries for various payments to suppliers or vendors.
• Responsible for the monthly contribution and remittances of employees' SSS, HDMF, and PhilHealth.
• Complies with government requirements on filing and payment including WHT, SAWT, Annual Alphalist, etc.
