Job summary

green carbon in the Philippines invites a Project Manager for reforestation and mangrove restoration to provide overall coordination and oversight of the program in Zambales. You will supervise local Project Coordinators, monitor timelines and risks, and lead collaboration with POs, LGUs, DENR, universities, and other stakeholders.

Frequent field visits and reporting to Japan HQ are expected. The role requires travel, strong communication, and the ability to operate within a Japan–Philippines

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multiple projects or project teams.
• Strong stakeholder and partnership management skills, particularly with government agencies and local communities.
• Experience coordinating field-based or multi-site operations.
• Strong reporting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites throughout the Philippines.
• Ability to work effectively within a Japan–Philippines reporting and coordination structure.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall coordination and oversight of the Philippines reforestation projects.
• Directly supervise and support local Project Coordinators across project sites.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables, and operational risks.
• Lead coordination with POs, LGUs, DENR, universities, and other local stakeholders.
• Oversee local project budgets, vendors, and administrative requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and timely communication with Japan HQ.
• Support development and maintenance of local partnerships and project agreements.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation and address operational issues.
