Job summary

J.C. Piñon Construction Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects.

You will help manage documentation, ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence, and maintain clear communication between field and management teams. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, strong skills in drawings review, scheduling, and RFIs, and proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, project documentation, and scheduling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and on-site coordination.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Experience in construction project coordination is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project is an advantage.
• Experience with Ports and Offshore construction is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Prepare and monitor RFIs.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Support material, labor, and equipment requisitions.
• Attend project coordination and progress meetings.
• Maintain project records, drawings, correspondence, and reports.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and progress reports.
• Monitor material deliveries, equipment utilization, and project progress.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and client specifications.
