Job summary

World Food Programme in the Philippines seeks a Monitoring Assistant to support field data collection, verification and analysis under the RAM Unit. The role involves coordinating with partners, preparing field reports and ensuring adherence to monitoring standards.

The position requires secondary education with experience in monitoring, data handling and MS Office; duty stations include Cebu City and Tacloban City. Filipino nationals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, social science, disaster management, development studies, or a related area is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Verify planned cash distributions and collect data from field locations to support reviews and decision-making.
• Summarize data from remote sites; analyze and prepare reports for management and partners.
• Supervise third‑party monitors in person and remotely as needed.
• Engage with government, partners and internal teams to gather feedback and improve services.
• Suggest improvements to field monitoring processes for efficient program implementation.
• Organize regular meetings with community leaders and partners to support communication and operations.
• Support community feedback mechanisms and document complaints per accountability standards.
• Monitor market prices of key staples and prepare timely summaries for analysis.
