Job summary

United Nations World Food Programme is seeking a Monitoring Assistant to support field data collection, analysis, and reporting for disaster-prone areas in the Philippines. The role reports to RAM Unit and works closely with government partners and field staff.

The ideal candidate has five years of relevant experience, a post-secondary certificate in monitoring and evaluation, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, social science, disaster management, development studies, or a related field is desirable.
• Five years of professional experience with UN agencies, NGOs, government institutions, or related programmes in disaster management, resilience, humanitarian, or development work.

Responsibilities

• Verify planned cash distributions and early recovery assistance to ensure quality per WFP standards.
• Collect and summarize data from field sites and partners to support programme reviews and decision-making.
• Supervise third party monitors on-site and remotely as needed.
• Engage with government and partners to gather feedback for programme reviews and service improvements.
• Develop and share monitoring tools, field visit reports, and situation updates.
