POSITION TITLE : FIELD ENGINEER

DEPARTMENT : ENGINEERING

REPORTING TO : PROJECT ENGINEER / AREA MANAGER / PROJECTS AND OPERATIONS MANAGER / CEO AND PRESIDENT

JOB SUMMARY

The Field Engineer is responsible for supervising and monitoring day-to-day construction activities on-site. The role ensures that all work is carried out according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules while maintaining a safe working environment.

Internal: All Departments

External: Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Suppliers

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience in field engineering, site supervision, or a related engineering role.
• Knowledgeable in residential fit-out projects.
• Technically proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other engineering software.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be self-driven, highly competent, and responsible.
• Knowledge of construction methods, quality control, and safety standards.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Project Execution

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is performed according to approved plans and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed within the approved schedule.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and project teams to resolve site issues promptly.

2. Quality Control & Inspection

• Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure materials and completed works meet quality standards before acceptance.
• Report non-conforming works and recommend corrective actions.

3. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with the Project Engineer, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding project requirements.
• Prepare daily accomplishment reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
• Assist in material verification, quantity checking, and monitoring of site deliveries.

OTHER DUTIES

• Provide backup relief for other team members and perform ad hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to support the department and the company.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and occupational health and safety regulations.
