BizForce seeks an experienced Medical Documentation Coding Specialist – Family Medicine to ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliant charge capture. The role requires 3+ years in medical documentation or coding, with strong ICD-10-CM/CPT knowledge and experience in Family Medicine.

You will work remotely, supporting US-based providers and adhering to HIPAA. Responsibilities include reviewing AI-generated notes, finalizing A&P, coding, and ensuring proper documentation for

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in medical documentation, coding or chart review.
• Experience in Family Medicine or primary care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with E/M coding and charge capture.
• Experience with AdvancedMD or similar EHR systems.
• HIPAA and confidentiality requirements knowledge.
• Experience with US-based providers and hours.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated documentation after provider saves encounter.
• Edit SOAP notes for accuracy, completeness and clinical relevance.
• Complete Assessment & Plan based on provider recommendations.
• Document history, exam findings, diagnoses and plans clearly.
• Verify completeness before chart routing to provider.
• Identify missing/unclear documentation and seek clarification.
• Enter lab, imaging results and POC testing in the EHR.
• Document CURES review dates and controlled-substance monitoring where applicable.
• Ensure billing-ready documentation and appropriate charge capture.
