Job summary

Kaertech, a Baracoda Company, is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and repair our facility's utility systems, including electrical, air, water, and HVAC. The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and upgrades to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance and hold a relevant Electrical Installation and Maintenance qualification or TESDA NC cert.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in facilities equipment maintenance and repair.
• Certification in Electrical Installation and Maintenance (TESDA NC or equivalent).
• Graduate in Electrical Installation and Maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues in utility systems and resolve promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs of utility systems.
• Ensure all utility systems function at optimal levels.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, air-conditioning, plumbing and compressed air systems.

Job description

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of utility systems and infrastructure within the facility. This includes air compressor system, electrical system, dock leveler, cooling tower, water supply system and will support also to the maintenance of air-conditioning units. The role will require the technician to perform routine inspections, repairs and troubleshooting to ensure that all utilities are operating efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues in utility systems and resolve them promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs of utility systems (electrical, water, air etc.).
• Ensure all utility systems are functioning at optimal levels.
• Conduct regular inspections of utility systems to identify potential problems before they occur.
• Perform preventive maintenance on systems such as electrical, air-conditioning units, plumbing and compressed air.
• Perform repair, replacement, and upgrades of utility infrastructure and equipment.
• Assist in the installation of new systems (ex. machines, power supply, compressed air supply) and equipment as required.
• Perform cutting, welding, grinding, drilling, assembly and finishing works as required.
• Conduct modification and improvement works to existing systems and structures to enhance safety, productivity and reliability.
• Install new equipment, machinery, piping systems, electrical components, plumbing and facility accessories.

Must Have

• Graduate of Electrical Installation and Maintenance or any equivalent course
• TESDA NC in Electrical Installation and Maintenance or related certificates
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Facilities equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
