The role requires 5–7 years in facilities management and strong knowledge of codes (OSHA, local building/fire).
The Facilities Repair & Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day operations, physical integrity, and preventive maintenance of building grounds, equipment, and critical infrastructure. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing vendor relationships, leading maintenance staff, and ensuring full compliance with building codes and safety standards.
Direct the routine maintenance, repair, and installation of building components across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, carpentry, and masonry systems
Plan and execute repair timelines, renovation projects, capital asset upgrades, and waste reduction initiatives
Source, negotiate, and manage third-party vendor and contractor contracts for facility supplies, specialized repairs, and capital purchases
Enforce strict adherence to municipal building codes, OSHA guidelines, and organizational environmental safety standards
Supervise and direct a team of individual contributors and skilled trades professionals, providing technical guidance and performance evaluations
Independently identify operational inefficiencies and implement continuous improvements to daily maintenance workflows and facility safety protocols
Manage supply inventories, equipment maintenance logs, and operational budgets to ensure cost-effective facility operations
Generate work plans, set priorities, and execute specialized projects with high independence
Hold operational decision-making authority within the defined facility scope, balancing cost efficiency with service quality
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or trades oversight, with demonstrated team leadership
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, carpentry, and masonry systems
Strong working knowledge of local building codes, fire codes, and occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA)
Strong contract negotiation, project management, vendor management, and team leadership skills
