Job summary

TaskUs in the Philippines is seeking a proactive Facilities Officer to oversee maintenance, inventories, reports, and housekeeping for our office in Negros Occidental. You will manage assets, coordinate with vendors, and ensure a safe, efficient work environment.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 1 year of facilities experience, and the ability to lead a team across housekeeping and security. Flexibility for shift work is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Facilities Management.
• At least 1 year experience in Admin/Facilities Management, Hospitality, Design or Architecture.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team of Housekeeping and Security staff and manage vendors.
• Willing to work in a shifting schedule.
• Experience as a Safety Officer with 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training and 48-hour Advanced/Specialized Training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Balance efficiency and aesthetics by maintaining facilities and equipment.
• Manage inventories of office and cleaning supplies and prepare monthly, daily and annual reports.
• Monitor office housekeeping and ensure tidy and safe workplace.
• Coordinate with Financial Analysts to verify invoices and payments.
• Oversee deliveries of office equipment and assets and manage vendor relations.
• Ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols and safe work practices.

What Does a Facilities Officer Really Do?

• Balance efficiency and beauty. Handle regular maintenance to keep facilities and equipment running smoothly.
• Work on inventories of office and cleaning supplies.
• Creating monthly, daily, and annual reports on pending supplies requisition and costing.
• Monitor and maintain office housekeeping.
• Practice efficiency, especially in lodging and monitoring of purchase requisitions.
• Perform regular inspection of furniture and fixtures, bulbs and lightings, electrical outlets, and restroom fixtures to ascertain that these are in good working condition.
• Be an MVP in the Deliveries department. Receive and account for the completeness of all incoming deliveries of office equipment, furniture and fixtures, and other fixed assets.
• Partner with our Financial Analysts in ensuring all invoices are accurate and paid on time.
• Be a champion in maintaining a COVID-19 free workplace and ensure all new normal protocols are being followed.
• Be responsible for making employees feel like everything in their surroundings is in order so they’ll only have their tasks to think about.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Facilities Management
• At least 1 year experience in fields such as, but not limited to Admin and Facilities Management, Hospitality, Design and Architecture.
• You need to be able to motivate and inspire a team of Housekeeping and Security staff, plus manage vendors because Facilities Officers deal with them regularly
• If you have experience as a Safety Officer which means you’ve finished a 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training Course plus another 48 hour Advanced/Specialized Occupational Safety and Health Training, you’re at an advantage.
• Willing to work in a shifting schedule.
