JB Packaging Corporation seeks a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to oversee maintenance planning, safety program implementation, and equipment optimization at a manufacturing facility. The role emphasizes adhering to safety standards, managing maintenance records, and coordinating with technicians to resolve issues.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with experience in manufacturing and familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office.
This role often requires analytical skills and the ability to manage a wide-ranging workload. The facilities mechanical engineer's responsibilities will include analyzing and optimizing resources, as well as ensuring that all safety standards are up-to-date and followed.
Supervise, planning and analysis of the as-built plans, reports, and maintenance work.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repair activities and compliance documentation, as well as expenses.
Develop and implement safety standards for operations.
Ensure that all facilities are equipped with necessary safety equipment and that staff is trained to use it.
Performing daily inspections of the manufacturing facility to identify and address any maintenance issues
Responding to equipment breakdowns or system failures and coordinating with maintenance teams to resolve the issue
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
Review, verify records of all maintenance, service activitiesand improve operational efficiencies.
Support maintenance team for mechanical infrastructure and machine installation and maintenance.
Ensuring that the scheduled maintenance activities are properly carried out safely and effectively.
Monitoring and adjusting HVAC settings to optimize the temperature and humidity levels at the facility for efficient production
Conducting research on systems and equipment and presenting this information to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Assist maintenance work carried out by the maintenance staff or technicians and provide them necessary advice on efficient solution.
Optimizing and managing resource allocation across a facility.
Evaluating the efficiency of systems and equipment within a facility.
Maintain replacement parts and tools at adequate level.
Prepares maintenance instructions, check sheets, PPE requirements, and other related documents. Conducts document revisions, orientation and re orientation if necessary.
Assessing existing equipment and specifications.
Designing layouts for new facilities and buildings.
Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability and implement solutions as appropriate.
Implementing waste reduction initiatives, such as recycling programs or more efficient material usage
Reviewing and updating emergency response plans for scenarios such as equipment failures
Conducting regular emergency drills to ensure that employees are familiar with the emergency procedures
Inspecting and maintaining backup systems such as generators or emergency lighting to ensure their reliability in case of an emergency
Implementing waste reduction initiatives, such as recycling programs or more efficient material usage
Reviewing and updating emergency response plans for scenarios such as equipment failures
Conducting regular emergency drills to ensure that employees are familiar with the emergency procedures

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Preferably with 2 years extensive experience in manufacturing environment / Registered Mechanical Engineer with PRC License
Microsoft Office, Auto CAD will be an advantage
Basic knowledge of industrial and other engineering principles.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworks, and MS Office.
