Job summary

MerryMart Grocery Centers, Inc. – MerryMart Head Office (Pasay City) is seeking a Technical Assistant (Engineering/Facilities Management) to support the Technical Manager in daily facilities coordination and building maintenance.

This role ensures safe, uninterrupted store operations across the network. You will monitor preventive and corrective maintenance of store facilities, coordinate with contractors, manage schedules and records, and assist in tracking maintenance expenses and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, Architecture or related engineering field.
• 1–2 years in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, Property Management, Engineering or Purchasing.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with maintenance scheduling, project monitoring and Gantt charts is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, documentation and coordination skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Technical Manager in day-to-day coordination of facilities and building maintenance.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance of store facilities, utilities, and engineering systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs and projects.
• Assist in monitoring maintenance schedules, work progress and project completion.
• Process and monitor maintenance-related billings, purchase requests and service documents.
• Prepare and maintain technical documents, reports, proposals and maintenance records.
• Monitor utility consumption and maintenance expenses.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
• Perform other engineering and facilities-related administrative tasks.
