Job summary

Sumitomo Electric in the Philippines seeks a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on facilities experience to lead maintenance of HVAC, chillers, compressors and cooling towers. A licensed engineer is preferred and candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, ongoing operation, and sustaining of critical facilities equipment across our site in Laguna. Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of 8D, FMEA, and SPC are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate in mechanical engineering with a licensed engineer preferred.
• 3–5 years hands-on facilities experience (HVAC, chiller, compressor, cooling tower).
• Strong knowledge of problem-solving tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, OCAP, 7QC Tools, Six Sigma).
• Experience in preventive maintenance and sustaining of facilities equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service HVAC, chiller, compressor and cooling tower equipment.
• Implement preventive maintenance plans and monitor equipment performance.
