Job summary

Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital invites an Engineering professional to support safe, efficient facility operations. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and medical gas systems, plus project work and documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors and internal teams, maintaining records, and upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance within the hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in facilities engineering, construction, or maintenance; hospital experience is an advantage.
• Licensed Engineer is an advantage, where applicable.
• Knowledge of building systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and inspection of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and medical gas systems.
• Support facility renovation, improvement, and engineering projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Monitor equipment performance and respond to maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Participate in safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and infection control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, regulations, and hospital requirements.
• Escalate critical technical issues to senior engineers or management.
