Main Tasks:
- Assess condition of buildings, grounds, roads, drainage, roofing, laboratory, admin offices, and ancillary structures through systematic inspections.
- Formulate multi-year maintenance plans for civil, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, and landscaping elements.
- Design preventive maintenance programs tailored to facility components (painting cycles, pest control, AC servicing).
- Evaluate structural risks, recommending engineered reinforcements or modifications.
- Develop capital improvement projects for facility expansion or upgrades.
- Review facility work requests from users, prioritizing based on safety and operational impact.
- Create detailed scopes and schedules for facility projects, coordinating timing with Production.
- Maintain facility asset registry with condition ratings and lifecycle data.
- Analyze facility failure trends to revise preventive strategies.
- Coordinate with the Utilities Engineer for integrated systems (power, water, HVAC).
WORKING CONDITION:
- Extensive outdoor exposure to weather, heights during roof inspections, and construction zones.
- Rotating 8-12 hour shifts covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays in a high-pressure production environment.
- Regular exposure to production areas with noise, dust, heights, and confined spaces and machinery hazards during planning, verification and oversight.
- Extended hours during shutdown planning and execution phases.
- Regular interaction with contractors, OEM providers, and regulatory bodies requiring diplomatic negotiation and assertive leadership.
- Computer-intensive work requires prolonged focus.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Licensed Engineer (Civil Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Electronics Engineer)
Work Experience/Exposure:
Minimum 3 years in industrial utilities and energy management
