Job summary

2GO Group in the Philippines is seeking an Electrical Engineer to help ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of company facilities by reviewing electrical systems and supporting policies. You will perform load, short-circuit, and voltage drop calculations, audit energy use, and ensure regulatory reporting to the DOE, while maintaining high standards for documentation and asset management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and relevant professional certification.
  • Minimum three years of electrical engineering experience in facilities or industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with electrical design standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience with energy audits and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical System Design & Analysis – provide design inputs, load analysis, short-circuit and voltage drop calculations.
  • Facility Assessment & Evaluation – review existing facilities to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Energy Audit & Regulatory Compliance – conduct energy audits and ensure DOE reporting.
  • Technical Support & Issue Resolution – investigate complaints and implement improvements.
  • Energy Efficiency & Sustainability – develop conservation initiatives to cut costs.
  • Inspection, Testing & Reporting – perform inspections and maintain test documentation.
  • Project Oversight & Quality Management – oversee upgrades within timelines and budgets.
  • Preventive Maintenance & Asset Management – establish PM programs to extend life.

In this role, you’ll help ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of company facilities by reviewing and assessing electrical systems and supporting the development and implementation of facilities policies, plans, and programs. You’ll play a key role in strengthening operational compliance and infrastructure performance through proactive evaluation and improvement initiatives. By monitoring projects, managing deliverables, and maintaining accurate facilities documentation and records, you’ll contribute to smooth project execution, informed decision-making, and well‑organized facilities operations that support overall business objectives.

What You’ll Do
  • Electrical System Design & Analysis – Provide electrical system design inputs, conduct load analysis, and perform short‑circuit and voltage drop calculations to ensure safe and efficient system performance.
  • Facility Assessment & Evaluation – Review and assess existing electrical facilities, power loads, components, and equipment to identify improvement opportunities and ensure operational reliability.
  • Energy Audit & Regulatory Compliance – Facilitate energy audits in compliance with Department of Energy (DOE) requirements and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports.
  • Technical Support & Issue Resolution – Investigate electrical‑related complaints, recommend corrective actions, and implement system improvements to enhance safety and service continuity.
  • Energy Efficiency & Sustainability Programs – Develop and implement energy conservation and efficiency initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
  • Inspection, Testing & Reporting – Conduct inspections and assessments, prepare technical reports, and maintain accurate documentation of test results and compliance records.
  • Project Oversight & Quality Management – Oversee electrical system upgrades, operations, and maintenance projects, ensuring completion within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance & Asset Management – Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and testing procedures to extend equipment life and improve system reliability.
  • Documentation & Records Management – Maintain complete and up‑to‑date records of maintenance activities, project documentation, and regulatory compliance reports.
  • Government Liaison & Reporting – Ensure timely and accurate submission of required reports to government agencies, including the DOE, to support regulatory adherence.

Qualifications and prerequisites:

Educational Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Professional Experience
  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design standards (PEC Volumes 1 and 2)
  • Proficiency in CAD and MS Office applications
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Team‑oriented, proactive, and detail‑focused

Licensure / Certification Required
  • Registered Electrical Engineer – Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)
