Job summary

SGV & Co. in the Philippines seeks a Senior Associate for EY-Parthenon Strategy within the Strategy & Transactions team. You will contribute to developing and executing strategy services, advising clients to improve capital agendas and drive growth.

The role requires 3+ years in corporate or professional services with strong analytics, and excellent English. Expect broad exposure to international clients and internal collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering or related fields with outstanding academic record.
• 3+ years of corporate or professional services experience focused on operations, finance/accounting, or go-to-market initiatives; strategy experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to shape business agendas and define strategic roadmaps.
• Excellent command of English and solid understanding of the Philippines market.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to business development by preparing client meeting materials and proposals and participating in client discussions.
• Assist client projects and engagement teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Maintain relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of strategy development and implementation across Phlippines markets.

Your key responsibilities

As an EY-Parthenon Strategy Senior Associate,you will have a role in the development and execution of the Strategy services in the Philippines.

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Contribute to business development by preparing client meeting presentation materials and project proposals and by participating in client discussions
• Assist client projects and engagement teams to deliver high quality outputs
• Maintain relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of all phases and aspects of strategy development and implementation
• Demonstrate ability to not only identify strategic opportunities, risks and issues, but also to recommend resolutions
• Perform primary and secondary market research as needed
• Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products sufficient to drive additional and repeated engagements

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or related fields from a reputable institution with an outstanding record of academic achievement
• At least 3 years of corporate and or professional services experience focused on operations, finance/accounting, and or go-to-market/top-line growth initiatives. Experience in a strategy role is a plus
• Good knowledge of the Philippines market with solid understanding of economic, sectoral and business concepts and terminology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical ability to shape the business agenda and define strategic roadmaps
• Experience with managing complex business projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams
• A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
• The ability to assess complex situations and business problems to formulate potential solutions for our clients
• Unwavering integrity, work ethic and flexibility to quickly adapt to new environments/clients
• Strong people skills (incl. cross-functional collaboration, team management and people development & coaching)
• Strong internal and external business development acumen
• Entrepreneurial spirit, team player and excellent communicator
• Excellent command of the English language

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MBA, etc.) will be considered a strong asset
• Sectoral exposure in consumer products and retail, financial services, technology, healthcare, logistics, education will be highly valuable
• Excellent communication skills within a virtual working environment
• Advanced proficiency in MS Powerpoint and Excel, and other similar applications
