Chimera Entertainment is an independent game development studio based in Germany. We create high-quality games through strong collaboration, clear ownership, and thoughtful production processes. Our teams combine creative ambition with pragmatic execution. We value people who communicate openly, think in systems, take responsibility for their work, and help the team make better decisions. To strengthen our development team, we are looking for an experienced Unity Gameplay Programmer with strong Unity skills, a solid engineering mindset, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to technical and gameplay design. This is a senior role, but not necessarily a full lead position. Lead experience is a plus, but the main focus is on strong technical ownership, good communication, pragmatic decision‑making, and the ability to work well within an interdisciplinary production team. We are looking for someone who is more than just a coder: someone who thinks in systems, understands trade‑offs, contributes to tech design, and helps the team move forward without becoming dogmatic, while working onsite in our Cebu office and supporting our development team in Munich. This position is offered on a contractor basis and is planned for an initial project duration of approximately 1–2 years.
