We are seeking an experienced Revit Designer / Draftsperson with strong technical drafting and documentation skills and a sound understanding of the Australian building and construction industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing detailed Revit models and producing accurate architectural and building documentation from concept through to construction documentation.
This role is suited to someone who is already confident working in Autodesk Revit and can quickly adapt to established office standards, templates and documentation procedures. This is not an entry-level Revit training position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed Revit models from concept through to construction documentation.
- Prepare accurate architectural and building documentation, including:
- Site plans
- Floor plans
- Elevations
- Sections
- Construction details
- Schedules
- Sheet layouts and documentation sets
- Review, edit and work with AutoCAD DWG files.
- Interpret architectural, engineering and consultant drawings and incorporate relevant information into project documentation.
- Work within established Revit templates, standards and documentation procedures.
- Maintain accurate and well‑organised project models and documentation.
- Identify documentation inconsistencies and potential coordination issues.
- Collaborate with project team members and consultants to ensure documentation is accurate and coordinated.
- Manage priorities and work across multiple projects when required.

- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit 2025 or newer.
- Demonstrated professional experience using Revit within a building design, architectural or construction environment.
- Strong experience creating and managing detailed Revit models.
- Proven ability to produce accurate construction documentation.
- Strong understanding of Revit families, templates, views, annotations, schedules and model organisation.
- Ability to work within established Revit standards, templates and office procedures.
- Good working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD 2025 or newer, including reviewing and editing DWG files.
- Sound understanding of the Australian building and construction process, from design and planning through to construction documentation and approval.
- Working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC/BCA).
- Ability to interpret architectural, engineering and consultant drawings.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong general computer skills and confidence working in a digital office environment.
- Competent using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and established processes while also working independently.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and work across multiple projects.
Highly Regarded
Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Australian residential building design and documentation.
- Commercial, industrial or multi‑residential projects.
- Revit model coordination and quality checking.
- Creating or modifying Revit families and office templates.
- Experience working within an Australian building design or architectural practice.
Key Requirement
The successful candidate must be an experienced and competent Revit user who can confidently work within Revit from the outset and adapt to existing systems, templates and documentation standards.
This position is not suitable for an entry‑level candidate requiring Revit training.
