Job summary

Lynk Global is seeking an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor for our Australian client in Manila’s Taguig area. This fully on-site role focuses on budgets, cost estimates and tender pricing for commercial and industrial construction projects.

The position emphasizes early budgets from concept drawings through detailed estimates as designs progress, with a chance to engage in design work using Revit. The role requires 5+ years in estimating, strong cost analysis, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.
• Strong understanding of commercial and industrial projects.
• Proficient with estimating software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concept-stage budgets, preliminary estimates and detailed tender pricing.
• Review drawings, specifications and project information to identify scope and complete accurate quantity take-offs.
• Develop cost breakdowns covering materials, labour, subcontractors and other project costs.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations, checking scope, pricing and exclusions.
• Update and refine estimates as designs develop, clearly identifying and explaining budget changes.
• Document assumptions, inclusions, exclusions and cost risks, highlighting missing information or scope gaps.
• Maintain organised estimating records and communicate costs and clarifications clearly to the project team.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to prepare budgets, cost estimates and tender pricing for commercial and industrial construction projects for a boutique company based in Australia. Projects include structural steel, tilt slab construction and industrial sheds.
The role focuses on estimating, from preparing early budgets using concept drawings through to developing detailed estimates as project designs progress. Candidates who also have experience with concept designing using Revit are also encouraged to apply as there could be an opportunity for a dual role, heavily weighted on Estimating with some designing.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare concept-stage budgets, preliminary estimates and detailed tender pricing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying, with a strong focus on commercial and industrial projects.
• Solid understanding of structural steel, tilt slab construction and industrial sheds.
• Experience using estimating software and strong excel skills
• Ability to prepare realistic early-stage budgets from limited information and develop detailed estimates as designs progress.
• Strong drawing interpretation, quantity take-off and cost analysis skills.
• High attention to detail, good organisation and the ability to meet estimating deadlines.
• Clear communication when explaining costs, scope, assumptions and risks.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.

Preferred

• Experience using Buildxact.
• Experience working on Australian projects
• Additional estimating experience across duplexes, housing, aged care or gym fit-outs.
• Concept design or design development skills, including experience with Revit and DWG files.
