Job summary

AP ALUMINUM AND GLASS OPC in the Philippines is seeking a Facade Detailer / CAD Detailer to prepare precise shop drawings, 2D drawings, and 3D models for façade, aluminum, and glass projects.

You will collaborate with the Design Manager, QA/QC, Project Managers, and the Fabrication Team to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant with project specs, drafted to standard, and clearly documented with revisions and approvals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Revit is an advantage.
• Knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings, construction details, and drafting standards.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, dimensions, specifications, and written/verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Organized and capable of maintaining drawing and revision records.
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, sections, elevations, and façade details for aluminum and glass projects.
• Handle complex design and drafting assignments with minimal supervision.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models based on architectural plans, engineering drawings, specifications, measurements, and instructions.
• Develop detailed drawings for aluminum frames, curtain walls, doors, windows, glass systems, cladding, louvers, and other façade components.
• Coordinate with the Design Manager, Project Managers, QA/QC, and Fabrication Team to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings to identify dimensions, discrepancies, missing information, conflicts, and design requirements before preparing shop drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved designs, project specifications, company drafting standards, and fabrication requirements.
• Incorporate comments, revisions, and approved changes into project drawings.
• Maintain proper control and documentation of drawing revisions and approved drawings.
• Assist in resolving technical and drafting issues encountered during fabrication and installation.

About the role

The Facade Detailer / CAD Detailer is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, details, and 3D models for façade, aluminum, and glass projects.
