Job summary

Fig Advisory is an Australian-managed company offering onsite roles in the Philippines with an Australian shift. We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support Australian businesses across construction, engineering, building, and trades, with flexible estimating backgrounds.

You will read plans, compute quantities, prepare quotes, and work with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to deliver accurate estimates on time.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Experience creating quotes, tenders, estimates, or take-offs.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal English communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and tenders.
• Review drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations.
• Estimate labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and project costs.
• Review project scope and identify inclusions, exclusions, and potential risks.
• Prepare pricing and estimation worksheets.
• Request and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Support process improvements and help improve estimating efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing team and support Australian businesses across the construction, engineering, building, and trades industries.

We're open to different estimating backgrounds.

You may have experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Roofing, HVAC, Plumbing, Structural, Construction, or another trade or technical field.

If you understand how to read plans, interpret specifications, calculate quantities, and develop accurate estimates, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Depending on your area of expertise, you may:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and tenders
• Review drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation
• Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations
• Estimate labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and project costs
• Review project scope and identify inclusions, exclusions, and potential risks
• Prepare pricing and estimation worksheets
• Request and review supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Compare costs and identify pricing discrepancies
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients

• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation

• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines
• Support process improvements and help improve estimating efficiency

You may be a good fit if you have:

• Previous experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, Cost Estimator, Takeoff Specialist, Project Estimator, or similar role
• Experience preparing quotes, tenders, estimates, or take-offs
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Understanding of construction, engineering, or trade-related materials and processes
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience working with estimating, construction, engineering, or project management software is an advantage
• Experience working with Australian clients or projects is an advantage
• A proactive and ownership-driven approach to your work
