Responsibilities
Tender Monitoring and Assignment
- Download scope, plans, and tender documents from EstimateOne as assigned by the Sales Manager.
- Review tender documents to understand project requirements and specifications.
Takeoffs and Drawing Markups
- Prepare initial Bill of Materials (BOM) and quantity takeoffs based on tender documents.
- Create clear and accurate installation markups on drawings using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Quote Preparation
- Log new tenders in Simpro and prepare draft quotations using the provided Simpro quoting template.
- Ensure all quotations align with project specifications and company standards.
Documentation and Compliance
- Collate and organize compliance documentation, including insurance certificates and accreditations.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with relevant Australian Standards and internal company guidelines.
Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate effectively with the Sales Manager and the Australian team through Microsoft Teams.
- Securely share files and documentation via SharePoint.
- Participate in daily reviews, weekly alignment meetings, and monthly performance evaluations.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of quotes by following the QA checklist.
- Incorporate feedback from the Sales Manager to continuously improve quote quality and accuracy.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 1-2 years of experience in estimating, tendering, or cost planning within the construction, engineering, or related industry.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Experience in tender monitoring and assignment coordination to ensure timely submission of bids and quotations.
- Knowledge of takeoffs, drawing markups, and interpretation of technical plans and specifications.
- Ability to prepare accurate quotations, cost estimates, and pricing proposals based on project requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform quality assurance checks on estimates and tender documents.
