Job summary

Outsourcey in the Philippines is seeking an experienced estimator to support early-stage cost planning for construction projects. You will review drawings, identify cost drivers, and prepare initial quantities and material assessments.

You will coordinate with teams and suppliers to gather pricing and help develop budgets. The role requires 2.5+ years in estimating or a technical field, strong numerical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and proactive problem

Qualifications

• Min 2.5 years in estimating, construction, or similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and docs.
• Ability to interpret drawings and scope requirements.
• Experience with estimating software, spreadsheets, and PM systems.
• Strong communication with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Capable of prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specs and client requirements to support estimating.
• Assess scope, cost drivers, risks, exclusions and challenges.
• Prepare preliminary take-offs, measurements and material assessments.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers for pricing.
• Assist in developing initial cost estimates and budgets.
• Maintain estimating records and project information in systems.
• Identify missing information and ensure inputs are complete before progression.
• Support handover of early estimates into detailed estimating and delivery.

Profile Requirements:

• Min 2.5 years of previous experience in estimating, construction, project coordination, or a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project documentation.
• Software: Wunderbuild is preferred
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scope requirements.
• Strong numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience using estimating software, spreadsheets, and project management systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and improve estimating processes.

Core responsibilities:

• Review incoming project information, drawings, specifications, and client requirements to support the initial estimating phase.
• Assess scope of works and identify key cost drivers, risks, exclusions, and potential challenges.
• Prepare preliminary quantity take-offs, measurements, and material assessments where required.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather relevant pricing and project information.
• Assist in developing initial cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility assessments.
• Maintain accurate estimating records, documentation, and project information within relevant systems.
• Identify missing information, clarify requirements, and ensure estimating inputs are complete before progression.
• Support the handover of early-stage estimates into detailed estimating and project delivery processes.
