D2b is seeking a Residential Concrete Estimator to manage end-to-end quoting for residential projects. You will prepare accurate estimates, review plans, and manage jobs in Build Paperless, leveraging AI takeoffs to create professional client quotations.

You will own the estimating function, enabling leadership to focus on project delivery and growth, while maintaining strong margins and timely quotes through a streamlined process.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

The company is a specialist concreting and construction business delivering high-quality residential concrete projects across Brisbane and surrounding areas. With a strong reputation for workmanship and reliability, the business continues to grow and is seeking an experienced estimator to take ownership of the quoting process and improve turnaround times for new enquiries.

OVERVIEW:

The client is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Concrete Estimator to manage the end-to-end quoting process for residential concreting projects. This role is focused on preparing accurate estimates, managing quote workflows, and leveraging Build Paperless to efficiently convert plans into professional customer quotations.

The successful candidate will become the primary owner of the estimating function, allowing the business owner to focus on project delivery, client relationships, and business growth rather than spending hours each week preparing quotes.

This is a specialised estimating role and is distinct from the Operations & Job Coordination position, which focuses on active project administration, supplier coordination, and workflow management after projects have been secured.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Estimating & Quoting (Primary Focus)

• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for residential concrete projects
• Review plans, specifications, and project requirements for new enquiries
• Create and manage jobs within Build Paperless
• Develop detailed cost estimates based on project scope and requirements
• Ensure estimates align with company pricing structures and margins
• Maintain consistency and accuracy across all quotations

Build Paperless Estimating Workflow

• Manage the quoting process within Build Paperless
• Upload plans and project documentation into the AI takeoff workflow
• Configure estimate inputs and project parameters
• Review and validate AI-generated takeoffs and quantities
• Identify discrepancies and make adjustments where required
• Ensure estimates are complete and ready for client submission

Quote Pipeline Management

• Manage quote requests from initial enquiry through to completed estimate
• Monitor quoting turnaround times and prioritise urgent opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates and revisions
• Follow internal processes to ensure a smooth and efficient quoting workflow
• Assist with quote revisions and updates as required

Continuous Improvement

• Help improve estimating workflows and system efficiency
• Contribute ideas to streamline quoting processes using Build Paperless and AI tools
• Support ongoing refinement of estimating templates and pricing structures
• Assist in maintaining estimating data and project record

Tools & Systems

• Build Paperless (highly preferred)
• AI-powered estimating and takeoff tools
• Construction plans and documentation
• Microsoft Excel / Google Workspace

Requirements

• Previous experience in estimating within the construction, concreting, landscaping, or residential building industry
• Working experience using Build Paperless is highly preferredAbility to interpret plans and project documentation
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working within software-driven estimating systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple quotes simultaneously

DESIRABLE:

• Experience using Build Paperless, Buildxact, Groundplan, CostX, Cubit, or similar estimating software
• Residential concreting or civil construction experience
• Familiarity with AI-assisted takeoff and estimating tools
• Understanding of residential construction workflows and project costing
