Job summary

ERBAS ASIA INC in Manila is seeking an experienced ESD Energy Modeller to join our growing sustainability team. You will undertake detailed energy modelling, provide energy efficiency advice, and develop modelling-based design solutions to improve building performance.

The role requires at least 3 years in ESD or building sustainability, strong knowledge of Green Star, NABERS, NatHERS, and related tools, plus excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in ESD, energy modelling or building sustainability.
• Strong understanding of building performance and ESD principles.
• Experience with Green Star, NABERS, NatHERS, and Section J is desirable.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to mentor junior modellers.

Responsibilities

About the role

erbas™ | erbas™ SUSTAIN is looking for an experienced ESD Energy Modeller to join our growing team in Manila.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake detailed and complex energy modelling and building performance analysis.
• Provide ESD and energy efficiency advice throughout the design process.
• Develop modelling-based design solutions to improve building energy performance.
• Undertake analysis for Green Star, J1V3, NABERS, NatHERS, Section J - DTS, thermal comfort, daylight and renewable energy.
• Support projects targeting Green Star, Passive House, LEED, WELL and other sustainability certifications.
• Prepare ESD reports, Sustainability Management Plans, calculations and technical documentation.
• Manage inputs and outputs from ESD and sustainability assessment tools.
• Perform calculations and analysis to validate engineering concepts and project outcomes.
• Assist with client presentations, technical reports and design recommendations.
• Collaborate with project leaders, discipline leaders, architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders.

About you

• Minimum 3 years' experience in ESD, energy modelling or building sustainability.
• Strong understanding of building performance, ESD principles and building services.
• Demonstrated experience with Green Star, J1V3, Thermal Comfort, Daylight Modelling, NABERS, NatHERS, Section J - DTS, Renewable Energy, ESD Report Writing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and systematically with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to mentor, supervise and QA Junior Modellers.
• Proficient in energy modelling software packages such as IES, InEnergy, eQUEST, Vasari, Sefaira, DesignBuilder.
