Job summary

Merck Group in the Philippines is seeking a Business Process Expert ERP Deployment focused on Indirect Taxes to lead A2R activities within SAP deployment projects. You will work across Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tax handling and seamless rollouts.

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in accounting, 4+ years in finance, and hands-on SAP FI experience with tax engines; strong analytical skills and fluent English are essential, with travel about 15% per year.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting; preferably combined with tax.
• 4+ years of experience in finance/accounting/controlling, preferably indirect taxes.
• Operative knowledge in SAP FI accounts receivable & payable and tax engines is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to review data and mitigate risks.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills; intercultural competence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• As Business Process Expert ERP Deployment within Indirect Taxes, perform indirect tax-related operative activities for A2R in ERP deployment projects.
• Support cross-functional project members with A2R expertise and create documentation and instructions; assist fixing issues.
• Coordinate and plan day-to-day project activities like SAP-template setup and rollouts in alignment with the ERP deployment project manager.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance organization and teams such as IT, O2C, I2P to ensure smooth processes.
• Leverage expertise to continuously improve processes toward standardization and harmonization for higher efficiency.
